Interest and Qualifications
Masons help with building layout, framing, sheathing, and roofing; operate equipment and tools safely for various construction tasks; lift and place bricks weighing around 5 pounds numerous times daily; lift and position blocks weighing 24 to 55 pounds repeatedly; identify and address safety hazards and communicate with the foreman; dismantle, rebuild, and tuckpoint chimneys; cut openings in walls, ceilings, and floors made of masonry. They must have a strong work ethic, be dependable, and possess basic math skills.
